Seachem Prime – Aquarium Water Conditioner Malta Seachem Prime is a complete and highly concentrated water conditioner for both freshwater and saltwater aquariums. Available in Malta from BirdsMalta™, Seachem Prime removes chlorine and chloramine while detoxifying ammonia, nitrite, and nitrate to keep fish tanks safe and healthy. Seachem Prime converts harmful ammonia into a safe, non-toxic form that can be easily removed by the aquarium’s biological filter. It can also be used during tank cycling to help reduce ammonia and nitrite toxicity. Prime detoxifies nitrite and nitrate, allowing the biofilter to remove them more efficiently. For smaller volumes, each cap thread is approximately 1 mL . Prime can be added directly to the aquarium, but it is best added to new water first. If adding directly to the aquarium, dose according to the aquarium volume. A slight sulfur odor is normal. For very high chloramine levels, a double dose can be used safely . In emergency situations to detoxify nitrite, up to 5× the normal dose may be used. If water temperature is above 30 °C (86 °F) and chlorine or ammonia levels are low, use half the normal dose .
