Gradually dim compatible 12V or 24V LED lighting for sunrise and sunset with SOL-LED Plus. It adds external relay control and light-sensor connections to the seasonal lighting functions of SOL-LED.
Product details
- Requires a separate stabilised 12–24V DC power supply.
- Two rooms with PRO four-wire and Standard two-wire LED output connections.
- Adjustable sunrise and sunset transitions from 1 to 100 minutes.
- Seasonal programmes, Personal 1 and Personal 2 programmes, and AstroGPS timing using coordinates entered by the user.
- Choose the lighting schedule to suit the birds and your installation.
- Connections for ambient-light sensors and an external night-inspection button.
- K1/K2 connections drive compatible 12V or 24V external relay coils.
- Power supply, LED bars, external relays and sensors are not assumed to be included.
Compatibility and installation
K1/K2 are relay-coil control connections, not mains or lamp-load outputs. Match voltage, polarity and load limits to the supplied manual. Never connect the controller directly to 230V mains.
Which LED lights can I use?
SOL-LED and SOL-LED Plus can gradually dim matching LED bars. SOL-7000 dims compatible mains LED lamps; its ON/OFF output only switches a suitable LED power supply on and off.

The supplier confirms that SOL-LED can operate standard commercial two-wire LED bars at 12V or 24V when they match its dimming system. SOL-LED’s LED dimming outputs are not intended for fluorescent/UVB tubes. SOL-7000 can switch suitable fluorescent/UVB fittings through its separate neon ON/OFF outlet. A “dimmable” label alone does not guarantee compatibility. The controller, voltage, wiring and dimming method must match. Already have lights in your bird room? Send us the model and a photo of the LED and power-supply labels before ordering. We will check compatibility with the supplier before recommending a controller.
